At the heart of each Micro-Tech hearing instrument is our new
proprietary BluWave Signal Processing, designed to maximize performance in the
challenging listening environments your patients deal with today.
Like computers, today's most advanced hearing aids manage multiple complex
programs. These systems eliminate feedback, provide optimal performance in
noise, manage power, enhance telephone performance and log crucial data. BluWave
SP processes system data while managing inputs, and responds by allocating
internal resources to more efficiently and accurately control output parameters.
Similar to an operating system that runs a computer, BluWave provides the
foundation to concurrently run multiple applications necessary to eliminate
feedback while simultaneously characterizing and classifying the incoming signal
into meaningful audio environments. Seamless, unprecedented clarity in noise and
high resolution sound imaging that results in efficient adaptation for the

Directional Speech Detector (DSD)
Micro-Tech's hearing instruments also come loaded with
Directional Speech Detector (DSD), an automatic system optimized by BluWave
Signal Processing to give patients one of the best performing directional
systems on the market today. With the highest free-field and KEMAR DIs available
and the lowest operational noise floor, you can ensure your patient is
comfortable and speech is audible in almost any situation.
Active
Feedback Intercept (AFI)
Micro-Tech hearing instruments were the first to offer Active
Feedback Intercept (AFI), the industry’s leader for feedback elimination with up
to 25 dB of added stable gain giving Micro-Tech's hearing instruments the widest
fitting range and most stable gain in any instrument in class. Micro-Tech's
hearing instruments provide increased intelligibility in all situations,
improving sound quality and speech audibility.
Integrated Real Ear Measurement (IREM)
Fitting Micro-Tech's hearing instruments is a great
experience for both you and your patients, thanks to Integrated Real Ear
Measurement (IREM). Exclusive to Micro-Tech, IREM is the only built-in real ear
measurement system as accurate as a real ear machine — within ±3 dB. Hearing
care professionals around the world have reported this easy-to-use feature
improved their fitting accuracy.
Acoustic Signature
Micro-Tech has brought together a team of digital signal
processing scientists who are devoted to the study of sound. One of their goals
is to develop more refined algorithims that characterize sound and process the
unique signatures of these individual sounds. We call this environmental
adaptation protocal Acoustic Signature. BluWave Signal Processing characterizes
incoming sounds by sorting the frequency, timing and intensity of these sound
sources. Once characterized and classified, Micro-Tech's hearing instruments
with Acoustic Signature applies optimal frequency and compression parameters for
that specific sound source. Sounds are classified as speech, speech in noise,
noise, mechanical sounds, wind and quiet — each of these is managed by a special
signal processing strategy in Micro-Tech's hearing instruments.
Touchless Telephone Response
This function allows Micro-Tech's hearing instruments to
switch automatically into telephone mode so use of a standard telephone is as
easy as picking up the receiver.
